Coate

ALTADENA, CA

Born from loss, The Coate Project is a deeply meaningful restoration—an opportunity to transform what was once reduced to ashes into something enduring and beautiful.

Following the devastation of the Altadena fires, this home is being thoughtfully reimagined for a special family, honoring both memory and renewal.

Rooted in the timeless language of Spanish Revival architecture, the design embraces warmth, character, and a sense of history—layered with a refined balance of vintage elements and modern sensibility. Arched forms, textural plaster, and hand-finished details create a foundation that feels both grounded and romantic, while curated contemporary moments bring clarity and ease to everyday living.

More than a rebuild, this project is a quiet celebration of resilience—where heritage, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design come together to tell a new story.
